One thing that gives great satisfaction in any outing or yatra is Teerth Snana, doing Aanheka near the river in a calm and natural place. This not only calms down the busy running mind but also improves the devotion, love to nature.
There was a time when every temple, mutt was near to natural rivers for Tarpana, prayers, Made Snana, conserve water as well. If no nearby river then ponds(Pushkarani), multiple wells, open space with Sand and/or Tulasi Vana, Flower plants.
In the modern world, today temple/math all are getting into the shape of "Concrete Jungle". Also, unfortunately, no plans for having any water resources built over several decades now. Many times we are compromising on borewell saltwater for Made Snana or no Made snana.
It is the right time to initiate building water resources and Tulasi vana in every temple as must to have requirement. This would really make the right use of donors' money and helps in Dharmik activities much better.
One such example is Koppala Madhwa Tapovana. Where a well-known true service-oriented Sri Raghupremachar dreamed and realized a POND at this place with a great source of water for all activities.
Such initiatives need to boost, such thinkers need to be provided good support and get resources created for future Madhwa generations.
What is MUST TO HAVE in temple/math:
- Ponds/wells/ puskarani
- Tulasi vana
- Parijata, mallige plans
- Open space for kids to play in the open air
- Disabled friendly tools
- Safety lockers and padaraksha lockers
- Lean construction principles
- Social responsibility team - for working on social causes, protecting nearby brahmins, handling the natural disasters, insurance for poor Madhwa families
- Wasting money on decorations
- Using plaster of Paris
- Fully closed building ( where no natural air/sun/freshness)
- Costly building with fancy items ( Please as its donors money )
