Navaratrotsava Significance

Navaratrotsava 



For Madhwa brahmins it looks like Navaratri is most important than Deepawali. This is the period to do Kuladevatha Aradhana. Thus all 9 days and nights Deepa(oil/Ghee as followed in the family) will be lit. This starts with Deeparadhana and Ghatta Sthapana and ends with Vijaya Dashami.


Who can celebrate it?

  1. Every family should celebrate it
  2. Celebrate with a spirit of Spirituality and content fullness in life
  3. Most importantly follow your family tradition than following others
  4. Every person in the family participates and celebrates according to their age.

What all happens these 9 days?

  1. Kalashasthapana or Ghata Sthapane
  2. Chandra Darshana
  3. Sapta Ratrotsava
  4. Pancharatrotsava
  5. Saraswathi Pooja
  6. Durgastami
  7. Mahanavami
  8. Vijaya Dashami - Buddha Jayanthi, Madhwa Jayanthi

What do we mean by celebration?

  1. Time to remove Nava-vidha Dwesha in GOD. 
  2. It is time to submit Nava-Vidha Bhakti in GOD

  ಕಾಶಿ ವಾಸಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಾಶಿಪುರಾಧೀಶನ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸೇವೆಯ ಹಲವು ವತ್ಸರ ಮಾಡುತ ವಿರಾಗಿ ಮಾಧವೇಶಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮುದದಿಂದ ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಪರಿಪರಿಯ ಕರುಣ ಪಡೆದಂಥ ಸತ್ಯಕಾಮ ಜಾಬಾಲಿಯೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗೋ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೀತರಾಗಿ ಸುರರು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಜ್ಞಾನವನು  ಎಂದು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು,  ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ, ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಜಯಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಪಡೆದು ಜ್ಞಾನಚಕ್ಷುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ  ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಪರಮ ಚೇತನರು,  ೨೪ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕಾಶಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲಸಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮದುರ್ಗ ಮಾಧವೇಶಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಂದ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅವರಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ಭಾಗವತದ ಶ್ರವಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪರಮಭಾಗವತರು.  ಹರಿದಾಸ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಸೆವೆಗೆ, ಹರಿದಾಸರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಇಡೀ ಜೀವನವನ್ನೇ ಮುಡುಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊದಲಕಲ್ ಶೇಷದಾಸಾರ್ಯರ ಆರಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಹಾನುಭಾವರು, ಅನೇಕ ಶಿಷ್ಯವರೇಣ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಮಾಡಿದವರು, ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ದೇಹದ ಲೋಪಗಳು ಬಂಧಕಗಳಲ್ಲವೆಂದೇ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಮಹಾನುಭಾವರಾದ , ಇಂದಿನ ಆರಾಧನಾನಾಯಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾಶೀದಾಸರಿಗೆ ಶಿರಬಾಗಿ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೆವೆ
