What was the significance of Tila during the Uttarayana period?
Makara Sankranti Day: The ritual of Shaktila should be observed. That is six sesame-related works.
Six Tila(Sesame) rituals are to be performed during this period.
A) Tila bath,
B) Tila Deepa,
E) Applying to the body during bath (Tila Lepana),
F) Tila homa,
G) Tila Bhakshana ( Eating sesame )
Tila or sesame oil should be applied during bathing.
A donation made during the Uttarayana period is worth millions more than a normal day. The charity must be donated. There is no need to donate, though.
Govans are to be worshiped especially today. Cows especially bathed in turmeric, make horns and decorate the entire govi and worship it.
The Scientific Reason for Acceptance of Sesame
During Dhanurmasa, we serve/eat the Huggi(Green Dal + Rice mixed dish) with the intention of alleviating the body's problems. Because the winter season is bad in Dhanurmasa. One may have trouble with constipation these days. This is because the body's temperature during the winter season is so high that the atmosphere is not well-suited to compensate for it. Secondly, when the skin temperature is low, the skin is bare.
According to tradition, if you eat Huggi for a long time, you will compensate for the shortage of the aforementioned body. The fat content of a man's body is not sufficient until the end of Dhanurmasa and the beginning of Makara. Starting from Uttarayana Kala the heat climate will increase that may cause many health problems. To avoid this, sesame seeds should be used for precaution. According to physiology and dietetics, the A and B vitamins needed for the development of the skin, ophthalmology, and bones are fat. Sesame is good because these vitamins are abundant in sesame oil.
Eating sesame jaggery: -
Navadhanya says to Navagrahas. Sesame is the only oil in oilseeds, the rest of the others seeds are really not oil seeds. Therefore, sesame is eaten, if only sesame is eaten alone it may cause pitta so adding jaggery to it will balance and reduce the fat content as well.
Natural: If you take the sesame seeds with the sesame seeds, you will have the bile. Sesame will help in improving blood content, to reduce acidity one can eat Ellu-Bella ( sesame + Jaggery ).
Note: Whatever you eat remember Lord in that, he is the one who gives shape, medicinal value, taste, color, and smell for anything and everything. If you have this anusandhana all goes well and also adds lots of Punya.
