Shri
Bhogapuresha is Shri Hanumantha Devaru installed by Shri Janamejaya
Raja and is a very Jagruta (powerful) God. Nobody who have offered Seva
here, have returned empty handed.
Speciality about Shri
Bhogapuresha is that - the idol is Bhinna (broken). Inspite of that we
perform Puja because Shri Bhogapuresha Himself told that though the idol
is broken, His sannidhana (presence) is in that idol.

Peethadipatigalu, Dasaru have visited this place. Shri
Satyaparayanateertharu, Shri Satyapramodateertharu, Shri
Satyatmateertharu, Shri Sushameendrateertharu, Shri
Suvidyendrateertharu, Shri Vidyamanyaru and many more peethadipatigalu
and Dasaru - Shri Vijayadasaru, Shri Jagannatha dasaru have visited this
place.
Shri Satyaparayanateertharu and Shri
Suvidyendrateertharu have composed Shlokas on Shri Bhogapuresha. Shri
Vijayadasaru and Shri Jagannathadasaru have composed songs on Shri
Bhogapuresha.
Every year, on Chaitra Shuddha Saptami Rathotsava (Car festival) is performed.
How to reach this place.
There
is Rajahansa and VRL bus to Gangavathi. It reaches Gangavathi around 7 -
7.15 in morning. At 7.30, bus is there to Navali. Within one hour
you'll reach to Navali.
One more Express, Government bus is there to Karatagi, from Karatagi, you'll get bus and private jeep's to Navali.
Driving directions:
From Bangalore:
Take NH 4 Towards Tumkur
Cross Tumkur, Sira, Hiriyur
Take Right turn on to NH 13 at Chitradurga towards Solapur.
Cross Kudlagi, Hospet
Continue on NH 13 and take right turn towards Gangavathi at Budgumpa Cross (Which is about 22KMs from Hospet on NH 13)
Drive till Gangavathi and take a Left turn towards Kanakgiri at Islampur Circle
Drive about 22 KMs to reach Kanakgiri, Take a right turn on to Navali/Karatgi Road.
Drive about 15 KMs, Take a left turn on the outskirts of Navali.
Drive about 300 Mts, Take a left turn towards Temple.
Drive about 1.5 KMs to Bhogapuresha Temple
