Sri Bheemacharya Vadavi
A well known place called Kadaramandalagi is just 8-10kms from Ranebennur. This place is well known for Kantesh(Hanuman name) who has large Madhwa Devotees worshipping. This place was also known as Kanteshpura. The Hanuman Kantesh is been installed by king Janamejaya. This place is really a holy place as Vayu sannidhana and Vayu-antargata Seetapati Sree Rama Sannidhana too.
Sri Bheemacharya Vadavi a great sat-scholar born in this holy place with the blessings of lord Kantesh. By profession Sri Bheemacharya were teacher( one who gives SadJnana and not just gives book knowledge ). Along with the profession they had large amount of interest in Madhwa Shastra studies. There interest in Madhwa Shastra and interest in worshiping GOD through Sat-Jnana even brought them KavyaRatna award as well. One should also know the Guru of such great people. Their Guru was Sri Subbaray Dasa. Yatha Guru tatha Shishya as the saying goes Sri Bheemacharya got interest in Hari-Dasa sahitya(the sahitya that brings wealth of Veda Jnana to common man in Kannada Language). Hence, they put effort in study, analysis and right interpretations of hari-dasa sahitya too. This work gave outcomes like Kanakadas Charitra, Giriyammana charitra, Sri Raghavendra Kathamruta, Sripadaraj Charitra kavyas. With such a devotion and knowledge that they got through Hari-Dasa sahitya they even got inspired to become a Dasa(one who always worships lord Vishnu is called as Daasa, spreading true knowledge of Vishnu is main work of Dasaru). Due to being away from their Guru Sri Subbarya Dasaru they used postal mail option to request Guru to bless them to become Dasa. In return the happy Guru provided them permission to become dasa with even blessed ankit nama as Marutheesh Vitthala. In todays time we have all option to fly to reach Guru and get permissions but we dont do it, but Sri Bheemacharya used postal facility then long back to get permission from Guru( Guruvina Gulama Naguva Tanaka Doreyadanna Mukuti - one who does not implement what Guru wishes cannot attain moksha). Such Guru-Shisya combination is what is unique in our Madhwa history. When Guru Subbarya Dasaru visited Kadaramandalagi they once again got permission in their physical presence and also did guru seva and guru stuthi. This shows their expertly in Kavyas.
The Guru & Guru Parivara ( around 60-70 students ) were given hospitality at Sri Bheemacharya home itself for longer period. Each day they do Bimbaroopi Paramatma seva through service of Guru and other Students to attain Hari-Bhakti. Their wife was too supportive as Sadhvi Gruhini. Today for any success people say "behind successful men there is women". But what we say as success is just a laukik success which does not last long ( example promotion, award ), but ladies in history used to stand behind their man to get them Moksha sadhana itself. Example wife of Purandara Dasaru(Saraswathi) who was instrumental by God blessings to get us Purandara Dasaru out of Navakoti Narayana.
Such a great dasaru knowledge we should all need to have in these days. Their family still can be seen in Hubli who are also been blessed with Dharma, Dasa Sahitya and Madhwa Deekshas. This type of blessings come only from Punya karma of ancestors like Sri Bheemacharya Vadai or Sri Maaruteesh Vitthala Dasaru only.
ಕದರಮಂಡಲಗಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ರಾಣೆಬೆನ್ನೂರಿಗೆ 8-10 ಮೈಲಿಗಳ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ. ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವೂ ಕಾಂತೇಶಪುರ ಎಂಬ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.ಗ್ರಾಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದರೂ ಜನಮೇಜಯ ರಾಯನಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ,ಮುಖದ ಕಾಂತಿಯಿಂದೊಪ್ಪುವ ಅಜಾನುಬಾಹು ಸುಂದರ ಪ್ರಾಣ ದೇವರ ಸಾನಿಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಬಹಳ ಜಾಗೃತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕದರಮಂಡಲಗಿಯ ಬಲಭೀಮಸೇನ ದೇವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಜನ್ಮತಾಳಿದವರೇ ಈ ಗ್ರಂಥದ ಕರ್ತೃ ಗಳು. ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಲೇಖಕರಿಗೆ ಭೀಮಸೇನ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾಂತೇಶನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರನಂತೆ ಬೆಳೆದು ಸತ್ಕರ್ಮ ನಿರತರಾದ ವಡವಿ ಭೀಮಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರ ಅಗಾಧ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಪ್ರಾವೀಣ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾವ್ಯರತ್ನ ಎಂಬ ಬಿರುದನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಕಾವ್ಯರತ್ನ ಭೀಮಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಅನೇಕ ಹರಿದಾಸರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವರೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೂಲಂಕಷವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸಿದವರು ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಸ್ವತಃ ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ, ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಾಜರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ, ಗಿರಿಯಮ್ಮನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಕಥಾಮೃತ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಲೇಖಕರು ಅವರ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ ದಾಸರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀವ ಭಕ್ತಿಮಾಡಿ ಅವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಪಡೆದು ದಾಸ ದಿಕ್ಷೇ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪತ್ರದ್ವಾರಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಮತವನ್ನು ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ದಾಸರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯದಾಸರು ತಮ್ಮ ದಿವ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಲೇಖಕರ ಯೋಗ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತವರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಾರುತೀಶ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ಎಂಬ ಅಂಕಿತ ನಾಮ ಬರೆದು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಆರ್ಶಿವದಸಿದರು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ವಡವಿ ಭೀಮಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಮಾರುತೀಶ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ದಾಸರಾದರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ ದಾಸರು ಕದರಮಂಡಲಗಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮಾರುತೀಶ ವಿಠ್ಠಲಾಂಕಿತ ಲೇಖಕರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಗುರುಗಳ ಪಾದಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪಾದೋದಕವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಂಧು ವರ್ಗದವರ ಶಿರಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೋಕ್ಷಿಸಿ , ಗೃಹ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಅದರಿಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಈ ಕರ್ಮದಿಂದ ತಾವು ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಏಳು ಕುಲಗಳು ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಧನ್ಯತಾ ಭಾವ ಪಡೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ , ಕದರುಂಡೇಶನ ಕರುಣವೂ|| ಸದಮಲ ಗುರುಹಿರಿಯರಡಿಯ ಪುಣ್ಯದ ಫಲವೋ|| ಒದಗಿ ಬಂದೆಮ್ಮ ಗುರುವರ ಸದಮಲ ಪದವನಿತ್ತು ಕುಲವನುದ್ಧರಿಸಿದರೈ|| ಎಂದು ಹೆಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಲೇಖಕರ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾವೀಣ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಗುರುಗಳ ಮೆಲೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಭಕ್ತಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ ದಾಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪರಿವಾರ ಅಂದರೆ ಸುಮಾರು 60-70 ಜನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಲೇಖಕರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೆ ವಾಸ್ತವ್ಯ. ಲೇಖಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಧರ್ಮಪತ್ನಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಭಗವದ್ ಭಕ್ತರ ಅಂತರ್ಯಾಮಿ ಬಿಂಬ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರುತೀಶ ವಿಠ್ಠಲಾಂಕಿತ ವಡವಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ ದಾಸರ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ ದಾಸರ ಗರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾ ಮಹಾ ತಪಸ್ವಿಗಳು, ಸಾಧಕರು ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯ ಅದು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆಶು‌ಕವಿಗಳೇ. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಇತರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಂತೆ ಫಲವಿದು ಬಾಳ್ದುದಕೆ ಧಾಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುಗಳ ದ್ವಾರಾ ಮುಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೊಂದುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ
ಮುಕುತಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಿದು ಬಲು|| ಭಕುತಿಯಲಿ ಪರಮಪ್ರಿಯರನು ಭಜಿಸೋದೆ|| . ಎಂಬ ದೇವರ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ಉದಯ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ನಾಮಗಳು, ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರ ಡಂಡಕಗಳು, ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರ ಜೋಗುಳ ಪದ, ದಶಾವತಾರದ ದೇವರ ನಾಮ ಹೀಗೇ ಅನೇಕ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇಂತಹ ಮಹಾ ಮಹಿಮರ ದೌಹಿತ್ರ ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಪುಣ್ಯವೇ ಸರಿ. ಮಾರುತೀಶ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ದಾಸರ ಅಂತರ್ಗತ, ಕದರಮಂಡಲಗಿ ಕಾಂತೇಶ ಅಂತರ್ಗತ, ಅಸ್ಮದ ಉಪಾಸ್ಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಗೋಪಾಲವಿಠ್ಠಲ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಭಕ್ತಿ ವೈರಾಗ್ಯ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೆವೆ.
